# DümmerGänse

> DümmerGänse was a project in 2009 in which Juliane Zinnemann ("juli") and Oliver Hörster ("Olly") hand-raised three greylag geese at Lake Dümmer in northern Germany and released them to live with the wild geese. This website tells the story in German and English, with photos and drawings.

This file describes the website www.duemmergaense.de. The project has ended and the site is its archive: it has no shop, no form and no login.

Key facts:

- The geese are called Leno, Julchen and Fussel. The eggs went into an incubator in March 2009; in autumn 2009 the three joined the wild geese at the lake.
- The dream behind it was to live among geese like Konrad Lorenz, as part of their community.
- The photo gallery is being moved to new technology. For now the gallery page shows only a note and a picture, not the photos.
- The news page is a history of the website. Its last entry is from November 2026.
- Languages: the site is German first and also has an English version. The German and the English page have different paths (for example `/de/projekt` and `/en/project`), so each link below gives both. On the legal pages the German version is binding.
- Contact: info@duemmergaense.de. The site is operated by net&rights GmbH, Vor den Höfen 39, 30826 Garbsen, Germany, which also funded the project.
